The German Bauer rotary drilling rig assists the Hubei Shiyan Hanjiang Bridge project.
2014-10-10
Recently, in the Hanjiang Bridge project located in Shiyan, Hubei, the construction unit completed the pile foundation work ahead of schedule due to the outstanding performance of a Bauer BG 38 rotary drilling rig, which is the main equipment.
The main bridge pier foundation consists of 52 high-difficulty embedded rock piles with a diameter of 2.5 meters, a depth of about 72.65 meters, and an embedded rock section of about 50 meters. The gravel content in the embedded rock section reaches 85%-90%, and the rock strength is 30-50Mpa. According to on-site records, the Bauer BG 38 rotary drilling rig achieved an average construction efficiency of 0.7-0.8 meters/hour or 3.5-3.9 cubic meters/hour in the sandstone, gravel, and mudstone interlayer of this project. Due to the water storage of the Danjiangkou Reservoir, the construction period of this project is very tight, and according to the command center's requirements, the main pier foundation must be completed before August 31.
It is reported that the Bauer BG 38 drilling rig entered the site in late April this year. During four consecutive months of round-the-clock construction, this Bauer BG 38 drilling rig maintained a low failure rate and stable high-efficiency rock entry speed, and finally completed the main pier's pile foundation construction ahead of schedule on August 24, helping the user tackle this "hard nut" ahead of time.
